Sisters Centre was founded as a non-governmental and nonprofit charity organization by a group of women in Moscow in 1994. During 31 years we had helped thousands of women and hundreds of men to deal with the effects of SV and raise awareness of SV and its impacts. We are the only organisation focusing exclusively on all forms of sexualised violence in Russia. Sisters Centre has two mutually reinforcing areas of activity – the first is providing direct services to survivors of SV and their loved ones, and the second is raising awareness of SV.

For our direct services, we ensure we maintain principles of safety and equal communication, respect and dignity, anonymity and confidentiality to all who apply regardless of gender, identity and place of residence.

We try to make our services as accessible as possible. We work with all types of SV, we work with any affected person (women, men, youth, adults and minors), we don't ask for any documents to get our services, we offer support and help to the relatives and survivors’ loved ones.

For our awareness-raising work on SV, we draw on the information from our services to involve the community in creating a supportive environment and a consent culture, a public culture of non-violence.

The Sisters Center's helpline counselors will listen to you, help you understand what's happening and what kind of help you need, answer any questions you may have about sexualized violence and violence in general, and suggest self-help methods or ways to help a loved one who has suffered violence.

Our help is anonymous and confidential.

Центр “Сёстры” был основан группой женщин в Москве в 1994 году в виде негосударственной и некоммерческой благотворительной организации. В течение 31 года мы помогли тысячам женщин и сотням мужчин справляться с последствиями сексуализированного насилия и просвещали о проблеме СН и его воздействии. Мы единственная организация в России, чьей исключительной специализацией являются все формы СН.

Мы помогаем всем пережившим изнасилование, сексуальное принуждение, домогательства и другие формы сексуализированного насилия, независимо от того, с кем, когда и при каких обстоятельствах это произошло.

Мы убеждены, что все, столкнувшиеся с насилием, независимо от возраста, состояния здоровья, пола или гендерной идентичности, национальности и этнической принадлежности, сексуальной ориентации, вероисповедания и социального положения, гражданства и места жительства имеют право на доступную, качественную и профессиональную помощь и поддержку.

Консультантки телефона доверия Центра “Сёстры” выслушают вас, помогут понять, что происходит и какая нужна помощь, ответят на любые ваши вопросы, связанные с темой сексуализированного насилия и насилия вообще, подскажут методы самопомощи или помощи близкому человеку, пострадавшему от насилия.
