SOS Disturbi Alimentari

The hotline “SOS Distrubi Alimentari” is a free telephone counseling service provided by specialists in eating disorders operating in the network of services dedicated to the treatment of Eating Disorders of the USL Umbria 1 (Italy), with the patronage of the family association “Mi fido di te”. The service is intended as a space for listening and guidance on eating behavior problems. Using knowledge of treatment paths and services assigned to it, the toll-free number acts as a link between the user and the care network, constituting itself as a “frontier” of the network of services specialized in Eating and Feeding disorders care. Contacting the hotline constitutes a “virtual” access to the offer of specialized care present on the Italian national territory that would otherwise remain difficult to consult, and an initial relief from the loneliness of one’s condition of suffering, through the restitution of an imaginary connected to the care reality.

Il numero verde “SOS Disturbi Alimentari” è un servizio gratuito di counseling telefonico svolto da specialisti delle problematiche alimentari operanti nella rete dei servizi dedicati alla cura dei Disturbi Alimentari della USL Umbria 1, con il patrocinio dell’associazione dei familiari “Mi fido di te”. Il servizio si propone come spazio di ascolto e orientamento delle problematiche del comportamento alimentare. Avvalendosi della conoscenza dei percorsi di cura e dei servizi ad essa deputati, il numero verde svolge una funzione di raccordo tra utente e rete assistenziale, costituendosi come “frontiera” della rete di servizi specializzati nella cura dei DNA. Contattare il numero verde costituisce un accesso “virtuale” all’offerta di cura specialistica presente sul territorio nazionale che altrimenti rimarrebbe di difficile consultazione, e un primo sollievo dalla solitudine della propria condizione di sofferenza, attraverso la restituzione di un immaginario connesso alla realtà assistenziale.
