The Humsafar Helpline

This helpline is run by The Humsafar Trust, a long-standing community organization focused on queer health, rights, counselling and support in India. The Humsafar Helpline offers free, compassionate and confidential support by phone. We are here for the LGBTQ+ community in India who may require support with gender & sexual identity. Services offered:

1. Confidential listening and emotional support
2. Counselling around gender identity, sexuality, coming-out, family issues, mental health, stress and discrimination
3. Information on local resources and community support groups
4. Referral to health services including HIV support groups (like Sanjeevani) and safe spaces in Mumbai/Thane region
