The Crisis Centre Hotline in Jamaica is available 24-7 and assists (i) adult victims and survivors of interpersonal violence - in particular rape, intimate partner violence, and trafficking in persons; (ii) caregivers and persons who support survivors of these forms of violence. Persons who experience other forms of personal violence such as incest or sexual harassment at the workplace should also reach out to the Hotline. Trained volunteers monitor the Crisis Centre Hotline. For those in need of emergency help, the Crisis Centre Hotline can assist persons experiencing intimate partner violence to get temporary emergency shelter. The Crisis Centre Hotline is managed by Woman Inc., a non-governmental organization founded in 1984. Woman Inc. also provides face-to-face counselling by appointment or walk-in visits from 9 am to 5 pm on Mondays to Fridays at 4 Ellesmere Road, Kingston 10 in St. Andrew, and at 4 Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay. Woman Inc. also offers public education sessions on topics related to interpersonal violence and on developing healthy relationships.
