AL-ANON offers 24/7, free, compassionate and confidential support to families who are living with problem drinkers. Alcoholism is widely recognized as a disease of compulsive drinking. Alcoholism affects the entire family; indeed, everyone who has contact with the alcoholic. Al-Anon and Alateen provides support by sharing our experience, strength and hope to anyone in South Africa who may be looking for support. Our helpline will connect you to a member who has lived, or is still living with the effects of someone elses problem drinking. We will contact you within 24 hrs. You will hear that no situation is unique, we have all suffered the effects this disease has on our families. By supporting each other we slowly learn there is support, there is help, and there is a solution.
