About Towards Healing (United Kingdom)

Towards Healing offers free and confidential support and information by phone, including a dedicated text line for people who are deaf or hard of hearing (089 4556422). We support adults in the United Kingdom who may be experiencing emotional distress related to anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, or any form of abuse — including sexual, physical, emotional abuse, or neglect.

Our service is especially here for adult survivors of abuse by members of the Catholic Church or residents of Catholic-run institutions in Ireland, as well as their family members. We also specialise in supporting people who are Deaf, blind, or hard of hearing.

When you contact us, you will talk with one of our trained counsellors who will listen with empathy and understanding. They are experienced in helping people who have gone through similar experiences and will work with you to find a safe and meaningful way forward.

Anyone can contact us, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or beliefs.
